Did you know that Toyota has a handy smartphone app that lets you perform basic functionalities on your vehicle from the palm of your hand? We at Ken Nelson Toyota highly suggest that you download the Toyota app; here are some reasons why.
Monitor your vehicle’s health
It’s not easy to stay up-to-date with the health of your vehicle when you’re juggling a busy career and an even busier family. The Toyota app lets you check your Toyota’s health by alerting you to possible recalls, service campaigns, and maintenance needs. The app can even tell you if your key fob battery is low or if an oil change is needed.
Remote control functions
Your phone can serve as a remote control for your vehicle when you sign up for Toyota Remote Connect through the app. This service allows you to lock and unlock the doors, start and stop the engine, and locate your car in a crowded parking lot.
Pay your bills
If you financed your vehicle through Toyota when you did business here at Ken Nelson Toyota, you can make payments on your lease or loan through the Toyota app. Check out the current balance on your loan and see when your next payment is due.
Warmer weather is the perfect time to give your vehicle the
refresh that it needs. Here are some spring cleaning tips for the exterior and
interior of your ride.
Get rid of the junk. It’s easy to let fast food
wrappers, water bottles, and other debris accumulate in your car during the
colder months. Grab a trash bag and fill it with non-recyclable garbage from
your car; make sure to recycle any objects that are recyclable.
Wash the outside. It’s likely that your vehicle’s
exterior is coated with salt and dirt from the winter. Wash it with carwash
soap and water, then use a hose to rinse off the suds. Dry the exterior with
Scrub your floor mats clean. Your floor mats protect
your floors from all of the dirt and salt that you track in with your shoes. Remove
the floor mats then either scrub or hose them off, depending on if they are
carpeted or vinyl.
Wipe everything down and vacuum. Use a vacuum to get
the crumbs out of the cracks and wipe the cabin surfaces with a microfiber
cloth to remove dust and grime.
Replace items like windshield wipers and tires. After
a long winter, some auto parts display signs of damage. Consider replacing your
windshield wipers and your tires to ensure that you stay safe on future drives.
