Warmer weather is the perfect time to give your vehicle the refresh that it needs. Here are some spring cleaning tips for the exterior and interior of your ride.
Get rid of the junk. It’s easy to let fast food wrappers, water bottles, and other debris accumulate in your car during the colder months. Grab a trash bag and fill it with non-recyclable garbage from your car; make sure to recycle any objects that are recyclable.
Wash the outside. It’s likely that your vehicle’s exterior is coated with salt and dirt from the winter. Wash it with carwash soap and water, then use a hose to rinse off the suds. Dry the exterior with microfiber towels.
Scrub your floor mats clean. Your floor mats protect your floors from all of the dirt and salt that you track in with your shoes. Remove the floor mats then either scrub or hose them off, depending on if they are carpeted or vinyl.
Wipe everything down and vacuum. Use a vacuum to get the crumbs out of the cracks and wipe the cabin surfaces with a microfiber cloth to remove dust and grime.
Replace items like windshield wipers and tires. After a long winter, some auto parts display signs of damage. Consider replacing your windshield wipers and your tires to ensure that you stay safe on future drives.
